Here's what to expect for spring 09!
In this day and age of youtube & Co., if you’ve been following the fashion trends of the past seasons,
you will have seen the return of more traditional leather goods, in a more modern form, that, in short, prevails – commands - demands, Balanced Luxury - Softness – Lightness – Geometric Shapes – Creative Experimentation or, if you prefer, Experimental Creativity!
We must not ignore this last aspect seen in shows,
or this,
Therefore, handbags will have a soft look but will also be constructed and personalized with a touch of fashion contamination that adds appealing playfulness!
What colors will do justice to these styles?
Firstly, colors will be natural, light, and refined. There will be light shades of leather and wood such as Cornstalk – Clay – Rawhide, as well as cool – cerebral – chic shades of blue (extremely important), black, pale almost white grays such as Taupe, Riviera Blue or Skipper Blue and also Deep Cobalto.
There will also be colors clearly deriving from various cultures, African clay, Indian powders, South-American dyes, European ceramics – Olympic Blue – Elm Green – Thyme Green – Bombay Brown – Geranium Red – Deep Pink, and also strong, vibrant hues – halfway between neon lights and digital networks – Art and the Net! Sulfur Yellow – Royal Lilac – Orange – Ashwood – Sky Blue! Super fabulous!
